Cpr Mask

Offering CPR for someone in need shouldn’t put your own life in danger. Yet some individuals have found that their good deed became a nightmare for them. They ended up with some type of illness due to the saliva and body fluids in the mouth of the person that they helped. As a result of such scares and the drop in the number of people willing to do CPR for that reason, protective masks were introduced.

All medical personnel have access to this CPR masks. Many people carry one in their purse or their wallet too so that they can easily help someone without putting their own health on the line. It only takes a second to open one up and put it into place. This is much less time than it would take for the individual to decide if they were willing to take the risk and help the person or not.

Some types of CPR masks are disposable so they are discarded as soon as they are used. These are commonly found during CPR training courses. This way each person can put their mouth on the mannequin without worrying who has been there before they were. Others are reusable but for sanitation reasons the disposable types are recommended. They are also very affordable so there is really no reason not to have one handy.

Anyone that has been trained in the area of CPR should have a mask on hand at all times. You just never know when your skills will be needed in order to help someone survive. With the use of a CPR mask you can be sure your efforts aren’t going to cause any harm for yourself. These types of masks are very well made so you don’t have to worry about compromising yourself to help another.

There are many different brands of CPR masks out there so take a good look around. You can likely purchase them from medical supply stores and online. Many individuals are given a CPR mask to carry upon completing their CPR course by the instructor. Hopefully this will just be something that takes up room in your purse or your wallet. Yet if you need it you will be very glad you have one in place.
